Self-Love can be one of the most difficult concepts to embrace and sustain. Personally, I felt like this should have been the intention for the very first day in this series, something that the other intentions should build off of. But since you can pick and choose which intention you want to begin with, I guess it’s fine.
Self-Love requires patience, courage, and a stick-to-it-ness.
It is a daily practice of reflection, acceptance, forgiveness, letting go and moving on.
In a world that constantly bombards you with cookie cutter images of what is pretty, desirable, happy, healthy, success, etc it is important to recognize that you deserve to be surrounded by self-defined beauty – people who support your development and hold you accountable, environments free of toxins and toxic behaviors, activities that stimulate you intellectually, emotional, physical, and sensual pleasures, fresh air, good food, and so on.
When you come from a space of self-love, you don’t allow yourself to be mistreated.
When you come from a space of self-love, you make space for what you really want in your life.
When you come from a space of self-love, every thought, sound, and action is contained in that energy, and the quality of your interactions with others and your responsibilities reflect that.
How are you practicing self-love everyday?
How do you affirm and reaffirm your value to yourself?
