What is Health Coaching?

Coaching, whether it’s from a health coach, a lifestyle coach, or a business coach, is approached from a place of action, commitment, and accountability. Unlike therapists*, coaches are not interested in listening to your problems or unearthing the cause(s) of your suffering. What they are interested in is what you can do in the here and now to take responsibility for the life you want and support you in making it happen.

Like therapists, coaching can also fall into the “is it for me?” or “what do I need one for? categories. And like therapy, coaching can seem expensive. Google is an amazing and dynamic resource when your money is funny, but sometimes you need more focused support, and that’s where my self-coaching program comes in.

If you haven’t already, download this free 6-month roadmap that will walk you through the basics of health coaching. This free guide will help you make an informed decision about the role health coaching can have on your life.

When you sign up, you’ll get access to all of the premium content on this website, including downloads, resources, and tools to help you shift into a mindset that supports the health and happiness you desire.

Health Coaching is a dynamic relationship between a trained wellness professional and their client that promotes self-directed healing and behavior change. Health coaches encourage their clients to actively participate in their wellness process through education and self-care management.

As a graduate of Institute for Integrative Nutrition, my training included comprehensive study of over 150 nutrition theories in addition to training in supporting diverse clients in their  individual health and wellness goals.

I talk a lot about making self-care a priority, the connection eating whole foods, grown locally and sustainably has to one’s health and well-being, and the power of creativity to (re)shape our reality. But how do you pull that all together?

My online self-coaching program offers an holistic approach to wellness, one that takes into consideration not just food, but our relationships, career, physical activity, spirituality and other areas that impact our health and well-being.

When you sign up for my Coach Yourself program, you’ll receive:

  • 12 months’ access to Honeybee Holistic’s members’ only content
  • handouts, audio, video, and more covering various health topics
  • access to my private FB community

You’ll receive monthly and weekly prompts covering twelve areas of your life along with tips and guidance to help you reimagine what’s possible for your life.

The Coach Yourself investment is 775 dollars for one year when you pay in full and 99 dollars in monthly installments.

*I’m not hating on therapists! Therapy is often an undervalued and ridiculed practice, but it has its place in our overstressed and striving society. The point here is to make clear that coaches do not focus on mental and emotional health and in some cases, may not be trained or equipped to deal with issues that affect one’s cognitive development and/or mental and emotional health.
